Join The Stand-Up Conversation

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you put two stand-up comics onstage at the same time? Crash Course Show is turning expectations on their heads and shaking up the way comedians interact with the audience...and each other. Get a taste here before the show:...

Babysitter Massacre Trailer!

Did you ever hear that urban legend of “The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs?” You know, the one where the babysitter is getting harassing phone calls, so she calls the cops, they trace the call, and say it’s coming from inside the house?

Trailer – "Key Party"

There’s nothing more exciting than partnering up with a stranger, and no one knows that better than comedians. For six wild weeks, eight of Chicago’s premiere Sketch Comedy Duos will perform five minutes together and then throw their keys into a bowl. At the end of the night, they’ll each pull out a random key and go home with a stranger and a suggestion from the audience. They’ll all return the next week as six different duos (and one foursome!) with completely new material. Then they’ll pair off and do it all over again!

Trailer – "Reddit"

If you haven’t been there, you undoubtedly know someone who goes every day. Who seems to always have breaking news first; who sometimes speaks in memes; who can tell you the answers to questions you never thought to ask. S/he is a Redditor: a denizen of the second-most visited site on the Internet:

Byron Hatfield (Bye Bye Liver; Love Me, Tinder) has created, and partnered with The Dancing Pig (Please Sir, May I Have Some War) to write To Catch A Redditor- an examination of the Hive Mind and weird, wise, funny, angry and even famous people who make up the Wikipedia of Human Experience.

Trailer – "Bye Bye Liver"

Welcome to the smash hit that truly knows the heart of Chicago!

Bye Bye Liver is a series of outrageous sketches, all centered around the one thing that connects all of Chicago…Alcohol!

Whether it’s the girl that should never, ever drink liquor…or that one guy that confuses courage with shots of Jameson, we’ve all known them…or been them. This is the hilarious romp that satirizes all of those fun times and f*ck ups we’ve all had when we had just one too many. Interspersed with hilarious, interactive social games, you’ll laugh until you cry at Bye Bye Liver: The Chicago Drinking Play.

Trailers – "Love Me, Tinder"

These days, Love is just a swipe away. But when Tinder starts matching up the right people for life, business plummets, leaving executives with only one option. Tinder goes head-to-head with Cupid over the world of dating, catfishing, hookups, hangups, and bailouts. After this fast-paced romp, you’ll never view dating the same way again. Written and Directed by Byron Hatfield (Bye Bye Liver, How To Lose Your Job And Alienate Friends).

Trailer – "Bouncers"

Join four brusque bouncers for a night out on the town in this energetic, dark, and hilarious take on the night life and clubs that we’re all too familiar with. The four actors portray over twenty characters in a midnight circus of debauchery, drinking, fighting, and hedonism that takes us from the front door to the back alleys of the infamous Mr. Cinders nightclub. All human life is here under the flashing lights, thumping music, and grinding dancing of John Godber’s classic British play, Bouncers.

Trailer – "Escape From Chicago"

When the Cubs win the World Series in 2016, the city of Chicago tears itself to pieces with pure jubilation. Now, 5 years later, Chicago has been transformed into the one maximum security prison for the state of Illinois. There is only one rule: once you go in, you don’t come out.

Until today.

Trailer – "Disaster"

Chicago’s worst theater company, The Layte Nyght Players, have a brand new odious play performed terribly for you every month. Join the company in the last days of their rehearsals, leading up to their first full performance of a play written by a Chicago playwright.
